About Me

Hi, I’m Dian!

I’ve always enjoyed writing random stuff, but over time, I realized that constantly shitposting wasn’t really going anywhere, lol. So, I decided to focus on a topic I genuinely love and want to dive deeper into: beauty. And no, it’s not because I think I’m beautiful or have perfect skin, far from it, babe. My interest comes from personal experience: I’ve dealt with horrible acne, cleared it up, then broke out again, healed, and went through the cycle all over. Dealing with my high-maintenance skin led me to try out all kinds of skincare products. Surprisingly, the more I experimented, the better my skin got (I KNOW, wild, lol). That’s why I thought it’d be fun to share my experiences and review the products I’ve used or am currently using here.

My skin tends to break out during PMS, when I’m stressed, or if I don’t get enough sleep. And if all three happen at once, plus I skip cleansing my face, it’s game over. Aside from acne, I’ve also started noticing early signs of aging: smile lines, slightly saggy cheeks, dullness, and even freckles (yeah, it’s a lot, lol). To make things trickier, my skin type has changed over time. It used to be super oily, hence, the constant acne, but now, while I still get breakouts, my skin leans dry. Because of this, my skincare routine focuses on anti-acne and anti-aging products.

So, when you’re reading my reviews, keep in mind that this is all based on my personal skin journey. If something doesn’t work for me, it might still work great for you, everyone’s skin is different! But if you have similar skin concerns, my reviews might help you find products worth trying.

I also love doing makeup, even when I’m just chilling at home. It instantly lifts my mood! There’s something about looking in the mirror and feeling good about yourself that just hits, lol. My “at-home” makeup is pretty much the same as my “going-out” look, though sometimes I skip makeup altogether when I’m out. I’ve been into makeup since 2014, still remember how it all started. I bought a tiny brush set at a convenience store checkout, and that was it. Next thing I knew, I was hooked on lipsticks, eyeshadows, blush, foundation… you name it!

For context, my skin’s undertone is warm. So, I usually gravitate toward orange-toned blushes and lipsticks, they make my skin look fresher. I love bold lip creams, but honestly, I avoid them because they tend to make me look older (definitely the struggle). That’s a little about me! Let’s explore the beauty world together and have some fun along the way!
